Lisbon wins share of EOAC championship

EAST PALESTINE, Ohio (WKBN) – Lisbon clinched a share of the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference title (with Columbiana) by topping East Palestine, 69-63. The Blue Devils garnered their 8th league championship in school history.

The Ramgeets (Aiden, 23; AJ, 21) combined for 44 points while Blaine Barnes added 11 and Aidan Myers scored 10. AJ nearly finished with a triple-double as he was one rebound (9) and three assists (7) shy of the mark.
Lisbon (15-5) will finish the regular season at home with matchups against Salem on Friday, and they’ll face Lowellville on Saturday.
The Bulldogs had won five games in a row before falling to Lisbon on Wednesday.
For East Palestine (6-15), four players scored in double-figures as Clark Rutledge (18), Kealin Simon (17), Drew Bycroft (13) and RJ May (10) all reached the double-digit plateau.
