Remember when Jaylen Brown leaned into Kysre Gondrezick and Angel Reese courtside and whispered, "I don't think Bronny (James) is a pro," shaking his head back and forth during a 2024 Summer League game in Las Vegas?
LeBron James certainly remembers, and he brought it up Sunday night following the Los Angeles Lakers' loss to the Boston Celtics at Crypto.com Arena.
A reporter asked James what his relationship was like with the Celtics forward, and despite praising Brown for his MVP-caliber season without co-star Jayson Tatum, he had to remind everybody what he had said about his son.
LeBron James rehashes Jaylen Browns' Bronny James comments
"They're playing great basketball, and it's because of him and the rest of those guys. He's taking that next step. You know, our relationship has been...pretty respectful. You know, besides the (expletive) he said about Bronny at Summer League," James said via Celtics on CLNS.
The reporter followed up, wondering if James and Brown were able to get past the caught-on-camera incident.
"You know, we'll be all right. We'll be all right. Yeah, we'll be all right. I think he went on social media and said something about it. It's all good, but Bronny got a long way to go, but that's another story. But the kid, I mean, listen, JB is doing his (expletive)."
While James can be salty about the comments from almost two years ago, not many NBA fans would disagree about Brown's comments.
As it stands now, Bronny James is currently playing for the Lakers' G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers. He was last with Los Angeles on February 12.
