Ben Youssef apologises as Chiefs slip up against Stellenbosch

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Khalil Ben Youssef has apologised to supporters following his side’s 2-1 home defeat to Stellenbosch FC on Tuesday evening.
Amakhosi made a bright start at the FNB Stadium and took the lead through Flavio Silva. However, the Cape Winelands outfit responded with two second-half goals to snatch all three points.

The defeat leaves the Glamour Boys eight points behind log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates, although Chiefs still have a game in hand.
Ben Youssef admitted his side failed to capitalise on their dominance in the first half.
Ben Youssef on Chiefs missing chances
“If you dominate the first half, you must kill the game,” he told SuperSport TV.
“If you don’t kill the game, you concede in the first five minutes of the second half. We have to take responsibility sometimes, learn from our mistakes and make the right analysis.”
The Tunisian tactician said missed chances ultimately cost his team.
“We got six or seven opportunities in the first half and missed all of them. So what can we do?
“We have to say sorry to the fans. We only have three days to prepare for the next game, so there isn’t much time to discuss this one. But it’s the same mistake, when you score first, you have to finish the game.”
Ben Youssef and Chiefs now shift their focus to a crucial Soweto derby clash against Orlando Pirates this weekend, a fixture that could have major implications in the title race.
