NFL Combine preview for Florida football alumni
· Yahoo Sports
This year's NFL Combine is slated to begin and Florida Gators football will once again be at the forefront. The program has grown a tradition of being well represented on the biggest pre-draft stage in sports. Invitees include nine former Gators, a testament to the Orange and Blue's ability to produce NFL prospects regardless of coaching staff or era.
The biggest name in this crop of players is Caleb Banks, a 6-foot-6-inch, 355-pound defensive tackle who has rare size and explosiveness, a combination that makes him a projected first-round selection. His physical attributes will be on display in Indianapolis as he seeks to solidify his status among the best upfront defenders in the 2026 draft class.

In the defensive backfield, Devin Moore presents a tall, athletic cornerback with top-end speed for NFL teams. The speedster can fuse his coverage skills with elite physical traits to entice would-be suitors.
Highlighting the offensive line prospects is Jake Slaughter. The two-time All-American is projected to go in the late first to early second round. His high-level technique and strong football IQ give him a strong chance to be a day two pick. The Rimington Trophy finalist is joined by Austin Barber, a tackle with size and room to scale up draft boards behind his agility work during the combine.
Florida's send-offs also include promising playmakers and special teamers such as wide receiver J. Michael Sturdivant, edge rusher George Gumbs Jr. and Tyreak Sapp, kicker Trey Smack and punter Tommy Doman Jr.
Drills, interviews and medical test performance could reshape the draft outlook and further propel their stock and fortify Florida's reputation as a talent pipeline for the league.
