The South Bay Lakers are on a roll. They just went undefeated on a four-game road trip, and they took a five-game winning streak into their game on Saturday against the Stockton Kings at UCLA Health Training Center in El Segundo.
The first half of this game was close after South Bay overcame an early 16-6 deficit, and it ended with South Bay ahead 55-52. It then turned things up a notch and won the third quarter by nine points, and the team maintained enough momentum to come away with a 115-100 victory.

The Lakers shot 50% from the field and held the Kings to 37.2% shooting overall and 30.4% from 3-point range while holding a massive 66-20 advantage in points in the paint. Big man Drew Timme led them in scoring with 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting while also turning in eight rebounds, six assists and one steal.
Nick Smith Jr. scored 20 points off the bench and added five rebounds and seven assists. Rookie forward Adou Thiero played 16 minutes and contributed eight points, three rebounds, one assist, two steals and one block, while Bronny James shot 5-of-11 from the field and logged 12 points, one rebound, one assist and two steals.
With a 16-8 record, South Bay is now in first place in the G League's Western Conference.
