Cooper Flagg, the kid from Maine, is hoping to put on a show in Boston on Friday night.

It's a road game for the Dallas Mavericks rookie phenom, but he'll likely have all kinds of supporters in the stands with a chance to travel across New England to see their own sensation play in person.

It's not clear, though, how much Flagg will play.

He's still working his way back from injury, and with the Mavs not having a whole lot left to play for this season, they're being careful.

Is Cooper Flagg on a minutes restriction?

Flagg was on a minutes restriction on Thursday night, which will likely inform this game, too.

The rookie was slated to play 20-to-25 minutes against Orlando on Thursday, with head coach Jason Kidd referencing the upcoming game in Boston as being important to Flagg.

That was his first game back, and with the back-to-back on the schedule, the Mavs wanted to be extra careful.

Flagg ended up playing 26 minutes in a one-point loss. He had 18 points, five rebounds and six assists, shooting 7-for-22 from the floor.

Dallas will probably try to give Flagg some decent runway to put on a show back home, but it'd be surprising to see him play an overly ambitious amount of minutes in the second game of a back-to-back so soon after returning from injury.

It'd make sense for the Mavs to give Flagg slightly shorter shifts early in the game to give him a runway to play a bunch down the stretch if needed.
