Maxx Crosby sends message to Ravens fans after blockbuster Raiders trade
· Yahoo Sports
The Baltimore Ravens pulled off one of the biggest trades of the offseason by landing Maxx Crosby from the Las Vegas Raiders. Baltimore had to give up two first-round picks to make it happen, but they got themselves a five-time Pro Bowl edge rusher who has been wrecking offensive game plans for years.

The trade becomes official when the new league year opens on March 11. Crosby was a fourth-round pick out of Eastern Michigan back in 2019, and he’s turned into one of the most dangerous pass rushers in football.

Over seven seasons with the Raiders, he put together 69.5 sacks and 133 tackles for loss. Those numbers rank third and first in franchise history. He’s also been incredibly durable, playing every game through his first five seasons and missing just seven starts since 2020.
The move signals how serious Baltimore is about making another playoff run and building around head coach Jesse Minter’s defense.
Crosby posted a video on X recently where he addressed Ravens fans directly, making it clear he understands he has to earn their trust.
“Flock nation, everybody in the whole city of Baltimore, I’ve got a lot to learn. Everything is going to be new to me and I’m excited and tackling this head on like I do everything else. Fans there, I’m not going to sit here and make a bunch of grand predictions or anything of that nature,” Crosby said. “I’m going there with one purpose and that’s to help this team to get to where it needs to be and that’s where everybody wants to go and that’s winning the Super Bowl.”

The 28-year-old defensive end walks into a situation loaded with talent on both sides of the ball. Two-time MVP Lamar Jackson leads the offense, while Crosby joins a defense that already features Roquan Smith, Kyle Hamilton, and Marlon Humphrey.

But even with a Super Bowl run ahead of him, Crosby’s immediate reaction focused on what he’s leaving behind.
His goodbye message to the Raiders carried plenty of emotion, blending gratitude with a touch of regret for the organization that took a chance on an overlooked college prospect seven years ago.
