The Boston Celtics had quite the weekend.

On Friday, the Celtics welcomed back Jayson Tatum from his Achilles injury after a 10-month absence. They also hosted No. 1 overall draft pick and Maine native Cooper Flagg at TD Garden for the first time, making the night extra special.

Not surprisingly, Tatum was a bit rusty at first, but he eventually settled in. Despite not scoring until the second quarter, he still finished with 15 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists in 27 minutes, leading Boston to a 120-100 blowout win over the Dallas Mavericks.

The Celtics followed that up with another easy win on Sunday, beating the Cleveland Cavaliers 109-98 in a nationally televised road game. Boston led by double digits for nearly the entire game and went up by as many as 26 at one point, making a statement against one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference.

Meanwhile, Tatum shone again with 20 points, three rebounds and two assists in 27 minutes.

After the game, Bill Simmons posted a video to his Instagram of him walking. It was captioned "Thoughts on the Celtics' Weekend."

The video has Simmons walking in silence for about 10 seconds before simply saying "Tatum."

While Tatum wasn't fully himself in either game, his return seemed to give Boston a spark. He took some of the scoring load of Jaylen Brown while flashing his elite passing, rebounding and defensive skills, making the Celtics a better and more complete team.

Boston has two big road games coming up this week against the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder, both of which could be potential NBA Finals previews. Those are tough matchups regardless, but they'll be a bit more manageable for the Celtics if Tatum plays.
