Hiroki Itō has resumed parts of team training today for the first time since his latest hamstring injury. Saturday’s game against Leverkusen is still too early for him.

This seems kind of early, no? Hopefully, Itō is not putting himself in danger of re-injury.

Youngsters in between the sticks

Bayern Munich youngsters Jannis Bärtl and Leonard Prescott are backing up Sven Ulreich this weekend per Bild (via @iMiaSanMia):

With Neuer and Urbig out, the goalkeeping team in training now consists of Sven Ulreich as well as youth keepers Jannis Bärtl (19) and Leonard Prescott (16).

It would be an absolutely wild story if Ulreich went down with an injury and the kids had to take over.

As for Manuel Neuer, he is not back on the training pitch as of yet per Bild (via @iMiaSanMia_GER):

Manuel Neuer is not yet training on the pitch. Today, he completed an individual rehab session in the fitness room at Säbener Straße. In addition to jogging on the treadmill, the program included specific exercises with and without weights under the guidance of the rehab trainers.
