On Selection Sunday, the Aggies discovered their fate as the No. 10 seed of this year's NCAA Tournament. For the sixth time in program history, Texas A&M will face Saint Mary's, which notched the No. 7 seed. The last time the programs met was in 2010, when the Maroon and White recorded a 70-53 victory at Reed Arena in Bryan-College Station.
This time, the Aggies and Gaels will face off in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, for an opportunity to advance to the round of 32. Shortly after the matchup was announced in the bracket unveiling, the tip-off time for Texas A&M's contest against Saint Mary's was revealed. According to the official release, the contest is slated to begin at 6:35 p.m. CT and will broadcast live on TruTV.

Historically, the Aggies boast a 3-2 record against Saint Mary's, but the Gaels are bringing one of the most impressive and explosive basketball teams in the country to OKC on Thursday, March 19. One of the massive advantages the Gaels have over Texas A&M is their length and size, which has helped them rank No. 14 in total rebounds, No. 15 in offensive rebound percentage, and No. 4 in offensive rebound percentage allowed. They can crash the glass and out-physical any team in basketball.
As TexAgs reporter Luke Evanglist said, Thursday's contest is a perfect representation of the tortoise and the hare playing basketball against each other. On one end of the court is the No. 11 most-explosive scoring offense in college hoops, competing against a top-10 defense.
If Texas A&M makes it past Saint Mary's in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, the Aggies would face the winner of No. 2 seed Houston and No. 15 seed Idaho.
