Giants bringing back G Joshua Ezeudu with 1-year deal
· Yahoo Sports
The Giants' search for veteran guard help has hit a snag. First, they agreed to bring back Evan Neal, the seventh overall selection in the 2022 NFL draft, who was a notorious bust. And now they are re-signing another failed pick from that draft, third-rounder Joshua Ezuedu.
Ezeudu, the 67th overall pick in the 2022 draft, will return to the Giants, according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN. He's reportedly signing a one-year deal to stay in New York.

This isn't quite Evan Neal levels of shock, but didn't see this coming. Ezeudu understandably wasn't happy after being stashed on IR all year with a calf strain that was healed early in the season https://t.co/yr3FLjPO37

From the Giants:
Originally a third-round pick in 2022, Ezeudu has played in 33 games for the Giants with 10 starts -- seven at left tackle, two at left guard, and one as an extralineman.
The 6-foot-4, 310-pound lineman was placed on injured reserve during training camp and did not play in the 2025 season.
In 2024, he played in a career-high 17 games with three starts, including two at left tackle and another an an extra lineman.
The Giants crapped out in the guard market in free agency, failing to land an upgrade over Jon Runyan Jr. and Greg Van Roten, who remains unsigned.
Now, the new regime is revisiting two highly drafted players who did not pan out in Neal and Ezuedu to see if they are salvageable. Neither is guaranteed to make the team. Harbaugh's staff might see something in them that the Brian Daboll regime missed.
Either way, general manager Joe Schoen would love nothing more than to be vindicated by having one, or both, of these players turn out to be viable pros.
