WE League Champion and MVP Yuzuki Yamamoto signs with NWSL’s Denver Summit from Tokyo Verdy Beleza

Upon the conclusion of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup, Japan Women’s National Team forward Yuzuki Yamamoto will be heading to Denver Summit.

Yamamoto has signed a two-year contract through 2027 with a mutual option for 2028.

She comes from WE League Champions Tokyo Verdy Beleza, where Yamamoto was just named league MVP – scoring eight goals in 22 appearances. It was also the club’s first league title of the professional era.

I want to challenge myself in a new league, continue to grow as a player, and help the team compete at the highest level.”
