In a completely expected development, NFL Media reported the Las Vegas Raiders will host Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza for an official Top 30 pre-draft visit in the two weeks.

The Raiders are fully expected to select with the Heisman Trophy-winner with the No. 1 overall draft pick on April 23. So, this visit is part of the process and it will allow Mendoza to get comfortable with the team’s Henderson, Nevada facility in preparation of it becoming his workplace.

The Raiders met with Mendoza at the NFL Combine earlier this offseason and the team’s brass watched him lead the Hoosiers to their first ever National Championship in Miami in January. They are also expected to attend his pro day at Indiana next week.

So, this visit in las Vegas will be the last piece of the personal time in the pre-draft process involving the Raiders and their next quarterback.
