Coming off a stellar rookie season and a dominant World Baseball Classic, the 21-year-old Boston Red Sox outfielder appears destined for greatness. Fortunately, that's exactly what he wants.

"There were a lot of great guys before me. There will be a lot of great guys after me," Anthony told The Boston Globe. "The goal is to win as much as I can here and be a Hall of Famer and be the best player that I can possibly be in this league for as long as I can possibly play."

Those are lofty goals for a guy with only 71 Major League games under his belt. And yet, based on what he's done over the last calendar year, nothing seems out of reach for him. Some are already predicting him to win AL MVP honors this year.

All he's done is hit, and guys who rake at such a young age tend to keep mashing. He's already drawn comparisons to Ted Williams, Carl Yastrzemski and other Red Sox legends.

Fortunately for Boston, he's locked up for the foreseeable future after signing an eight-year, $130 million contract extension last summer. That gives him plenty of time to establish himself as a Red Sox hero and start building the foundation of a Hall of Fame career.

The skills, tools and makeup are already there. All he needs to do is stay healthy and keep doing what he's doing, and there's a good chance he'll have a plaque in Cooperstown someday.
