The Sooners loaded the bases with three singles off Dylan Volantis, who got his second strikeout of the game after the first two singles but then gave up a chopper to shortstop from Kyle Branch that scored Jaxon Willits and Jason Walk's hit up the middle that brought in Deiten LaChance. A walk loaded the bases with two outs and Oklahoma up 2-0, but Volantis got Camden Johnson to ground out, a chopper that Volantis handled himself.
