Today’s edition of Buffalo Rumblinks examines the latest batch of mock drafts to see if there’s a consensus opinion about what the Bills will do at pick No. 26, and why one position seems to be identified more than others by president of football operations/general manager Brandon Beane.
Consensus of mock drafts have the Bills going WR at No. 26
The Bills have already dealt for veteran wide receiver DJ Moore this offseason, but that trade alone doesn’t seem to signal to the draftniks that Buffalo is done bringing in talented pass catchers for Josh Allen.
Despite the Bills still having needs at edge rusher, linebacker, and nose tackle, when it comes to studying the mock drafts, the experts seem to think Beane will select a wide receiver at the end of the first round. Among the names commonly linked to Buffalo: Texas A&M WR KC Concepcion (pictured above), Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson (pictured below), and Washington WR Denzel Boston.
The Bills have also been linked to A&M edge rusher Cashius Howell, Georgia linebacker CJ Allen, Oregon safety Dillon Thieneman, Clemson cornerback Avieon Terrell, Clemson run stuffer Peter Woods, Toledo safety Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, Auburn defensive end Keldrick Faulk, and Clemson edge rusher/outside linebacker T.J. Parker.
We also break down this year’s class of wide receivers; learn how Buffalo is doing its homework on one of the draft’s most freakish athletes—Navy defensive tackle Landon Robinson—and identify three prospects the Bills should avoid taking at pick No. 26.
