Bromley boss Andy Woodman expects his side to bounce back against Barnet after the League Two leaders' 21-game unbeaten run came to an end against Barrow on Saturday.

Goals from Josh Gordon and Danny Rose secured a shock 2-1 comeback win for Barrow, who started the day bottom of the table, after Ashley Charles had put the Ravens ahead.

Woodman's side retained their five-point lead at the top as second-placed MK Dons also lost at Salford City.

Bromley also have a seven-point cushion over Cambridge United in fourth with six games remaining, though the U's do have one further game in hand.

Woodman said he felt Barrow had adapted better to the windy conditions at Saturday's game in Cumbria, and he hoped the defeat would prove to be a "one-off", as they prepare to face 12th-placed Barnet.

"I think it's very important that we don't get too down, you know," he told BBC Radio London.

'League Two margins are tiny'

"I know we've lost against the team at the bottom of the league and all of that, but I've always said all along, top to bottom, the margins are tiny, and they really are on the day.

"I think we should maybe park that as hopefully a one-off with the wind and the circumstances and the travelling and the distance and everything else that was stacked against us, and really just concentrate now, and go for the next six games."

Last weekend was the first time Bromley have tasted defeat since losing 3-1 at Walsall on Saturday, 29 November, when they were fifth in the table.

They won 14 of the 21 matches that followed and have their sights firmly set on a second promotion in three seasons.

"I said to him [Bromley chairman Robin Stanton-Gleaves], I'm only going to come [to the club] if we've got real aspirations of taking this club from non-league into League One, and he gave me the guarantees that that was his aspiration.

"So as easy as it is to say that now, and we're not there yet, you know that was the goal and that was my aim and that was my target," Woodman added.
