Lloyd was reportedly interested in the UNC job and it went as far as the university offering him a top-two contract per Matt Norlander. However, Lloyd took less to stay at Arizona and turn down UNC. His staff pool will also get more money and incentives and he will no longer report to the athletic director.
North Carolina's focus will now shift to Dusty May, who Arizona is facing in the Final Four, and current Chicago Bulls head coach Billy Donovan. They will also add other names to their big board as well.
