Despite facing a double-digit deficit in the fourth quarter of Wednesday's must-win Play-In game against the Los Angeles Clippers, the Golden State Warriors rallied to win anyway and set up a decisive showdown with the Phoenix Suns on Friday night in order to determine the Western Conference's No.8 seed.

Stephen Curry and the Warriors tapped back in to their championship mentality. Curry's masterful second half led Golden State back from a 98-85 deficit and to a 126-121 win at the Clippers' Intuit Dome; the 38-year-old scored 11 of his 35 points in the fourth quarter to eliminate LA and force a deciding game in Phoenix.

The Warriors, the only team in the Play-In with a losing record, could well be the Oklahoma City Thunder's opponent in round one of the Western Conference playoffs. And if that happens, it will in large part be because Curry became the oldest point guard in NBA history to record a 35-point game.

Curry had been uncertain to return this season due to a troublesome knee injury that cost him 27 games. Golden State held on in his absence though, and the Warriors' 37-45 record -- though unimpressive -- was enough to secure the 10-seed and a spot in the Play-In.

The performance against the Clippers is yet another indicator of Curry's greatness, and it is a feat that the NBA has never seen before from someone his age.
