Byron Tigers improve to 5-0 in BNC with a convincing win at North Boone

POPLAR GROVE, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — The Byron Tigers were rolling again on the baseball field Thursday. They defeated North Boone 16-3 in five innings at North Boone.
The Tigers scored a pair of runs on the first. They added four more in the third inning. They topped that by putting five more runs on the board in both the fourth and fifth innings.
Caden Considine was 4-for-4 at the plate with a pair of doubles, a triple, and he scored three runs. Dawson Criddle had a pair of hits including a two-run double. He drove in a total of four runs. Andrew Talbert reached base four times. He had a hit, and he was walked three times. He scored four runs. Nate Wheeler chipped in with a pair of hits.
Weston Auker started on the mound for Byron. He went four innings allowing only one hit and one run while striking out four.
North Boone managed only three hits in the game. The Vikings did draw three walks to help them score their three runs.
Byron improves its record to 11-3 overall and 5-0 in the Big Northern Conference. North Boone is now 6-10, 2-4.
