· Yahoo Sports
Earlier this month, head coach P.J. Fleck and co. turned their attention away from the tight end position and secured a verbal commitment from Edina defensive line recruit Gage Geyer.
Ho〽️e. I’m beyond blessed and honored to announce my commitment to the University of Minnesota. Thank you to my family, coaches, and teammates for their support in this journey. All glory to god! #RTB@GopherFootball@EdinaFBRecruits@Coach_CJRobbins@Coach_Fleckpic.twitter.com/lQucJddjqw

Scouting Report
Geyer projects as a three-technique defensive tackle at the next level, with a 6’5”, 270-lb. frame and notable athleticism for his size. He racked up 18 tackles for loss last season, demonstrating his ability to be a disruptive force up the middle. Geyer is a defensive lineman with a strong motor, a solid athletic profile, and a lot of upside if he can continue to add strength to his frame and refine his technique. A solid in-state pick-up for the Gophers.
