Injury news: Celtics star Jayson Tatum out vs. Sixers in Game 7

The Philadelphia 76ers will look to advance to Round 2 when they face the Boston Celtics in Game 7 of their Round 1 matchup on Saturday night. The Sixers trailed this series 3-1, but have battled back to force this Game 7 in an effort to advance to Round 2 against the New York Knicks.
The Sixers will have one less star to worry about as Jayson Tatum has been ruled out for Game 7. He left Game 6 due to what looked like a leg injury, but coach Joe Mazzulla said afterward that Tatum isn’t hurt.

Earlier in the day on Saturday, the Celtics listed Tatum as questionable due to knee stiffness. Now, he’s out for this winner-take-all game at TD Garden.

With Tatum sidelined, the Celtics will lean more on Jaylen Brown who is still a player the Sixers will certainly need to worry about.
