Cavs vs Pistons predictions. Who wins Game 4? | Ryan Lewis
- The Cavs are a dreadful 0-5 on the road and a perfect 5-0 at Rocket Arena in these playoffs. As much as anything, that's been the driver of Cleveland's game-by-game fortunes.
- Their issues away from Cleveland remain arguably their biggest obstacle to advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals, and they're gonna have to prove they can steal a game in Detroit eventually. But that's a problem for Game 5.
- The Cavs finally received great performances from both Donovan Mitchell and James Harden in Game 3, which hadn't been the case since early in the Raptors series. They'll likely need to rely on their tandem of guards again. And center Jarrett Allen has now had great nights in two of their last four playoff games, though a little consistency would go a long way.
- Game 4 is Cleveland. Away from home, the Cavs have looked closer to a lottery team. But at Rocket Arena, no team in the East has looked better.
- Cavs 108, Pistons 104

- Health matters, right? An overlooked aspect of Cleveland’s Game 3 win is backup shooting guard Sam Merrill’s contributions to the Cavs upon his return from a left hamstring strain, which caused him to sit out the final three quarters of Game 1 and all of Game 2.
- Merrill played in Game 3, though, and he finished with seven points on 2-of-4 shooting from the field (1-of-3 on 3-pointers). In 14 minutes, he posted a plus-minus rating of plus-4. He drew two offensive fouls, taking charges from point guard Cade Cunningham with 5:58 left in the second quarter and from forward Paul Reed with 6:17 remaining in the fourth quarter.
- Cavs role players have performed well at home throughout the playoffs, and Merrill is one of the guys Cleveland will count on again in Game 4.
- Cavs 111, Pistons 108
