Paris St-Germain were crowned Ligue 1 champions for a 14th time - and fifth consecutive year - by beating title rivals Lens.

PSG required only a draw to move the title beyond the reach of closest challengers Lens, who trailed by six points.

Goals from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and substitute Ibrahim Mbaye at Stade Bollaert-Delelis wrapped up the title with a game to spare.

"This is the sweetest and hardest title to win - the hardest of the three years we've had here, without a doubt," said PSG manager Luis Enrique, who took charge in 2023.

"But that's also because Lens did a very good job.

"I remember certain moments from this season, the kind of matches they won and the number of consecutive matches they won. It was tricky. We had to deal with that."

PSG have won the Ligue 1 title more than any other side, with Saint-Etienne the next most successful on 10.

PSG, champions in 12 of the past 14 seasons, travel to rivals Paris FC in their final league game on Sunday.

They meet Premier League leaders Arsenal in the Champions League final on 30 May as they seek to retain their European crown.

Lens face Nice in the the Coupe de France final on 22 May.
