District 3 boys volleyball: Daniel Boone, Schuylkill Valley move on in 2A

Cooper Robison and Sam Walker led fifth-seeded Daniel Boone to a straight-set victory over Eastern York in the first round of the District 3 Class 2A volleyball tournament on Tuesday night.
Robison had 18 kills, 12 digs, an ace and a block; Walker had 30 assists, 5 digs and 2 aces.

Also for the Blazers (13-6), Sean Welch had 5 blocks, 3 kills and a dig.
Daniel Boone, the tourney’s fifth seed, plays the winner of No. 4 Manheim Central and No. 13 New Covenant Christian on Thursday at the site of the higher seed.
In another 2A match, No. 6 Schuylkill Valley advanced with a three-set win over No. 11 Kutztown.
For the Panthers (15-4), Alec Vitalo had 11 kills, 7 digs and 2 aces, Beckham Stones had 5 kills, 7 digs and 3 aces, and Tanner Staus had 10 kills and 2 blocks. Asher Clery added 21 digs and 9 assists.
Schuylkill Valley plays the winner of No. 3 Brandywine Heights and No. 14 Northern Lebanon in the semifinals on Thursday at the site of the higher seed.
