Sean McVay explains why Rams drafted Ty Simpson

I’ll post the video below, and it’s long (about 3 hours total), but it’s timestamped (good on them), so you can find the parts with McVay pretty easily (his interview starts about halfway through the video so right around the 1:29:09 mark). If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out. Or don’t. It’s up to you, do as you will.

Rams’ John McKay lands 2nd interview for Vikings GM job (ramswire)

“According to Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports, the Vikings have requested a second interview with McKay, this one being an in-person meeting. McKay is one of five candidates to earn a second interview, so he’s squarely in the running for the job.

The Rams promoted McKay to assistant general manager in 2025 after he was the director of pro scouting for the previous four years. Having worked closely with Les Snead and his group, it’s not surprising that Minnesota is considering giving him a chance to be a general manager.“

“Now, CBS Sports has upgraded its draft grade for that draft, giving Los Angeles a nearly perfect A+ grade in the rear view mirror. That’s quite an uptick after an instant draft grade of B. Curiously, the majority of the most positive instant grades fell to rookies who didn’t pan out. Nobody celebrated the addition of defensive lineman Kobie Turner or wide receiver Puka Nacua.

Of course, Rams fans knew the 2023 NFL Draft rookie class was indeed special for Los Angeles. Faithful readers who may have missed that in 2023 certainly had the opportunity to catch up a year later with our own regraded draft class assessment. That was 2024. It only took CBS two additional years to follow suit.“

Rams’ A.J. Brown trade rumors heat up with concerns growing around Puka Nacua (nypost)

“That was really close,” Garafolo said on “The Rich Eisen Show.”

“It was closer than it got with the Patriots.”

Garafolo added that at one point, a deal even looked ready to come together before ultimately stalling due to what he described as “too many moving parts.” But Garofolo went on to say he “wouldn’t be surprised” if Los Angeles re-engages in talks once again.

A part of Garafolo’s reasoning revolves around one of the Rams biggest stars.“
