A difficult start to the schedule continues into Week 3 for the Colts, when they face the Houston Texans at home. These two teams then meet again in Houston in Week 11 for a primetime Thursday night matchup.

Stats to know about the Texans

The Texans had one of the stingiest defenses in football last season, allowing just 17.4 points per game during the regular season -- the second-best mark in football. This unit was very good from front to back, as one of the best in football at getting after the quarterback while also ranking fourth in interceptions.

Texans players to know

QB CJ Stroud completed 63% of his passes last season at 7.0 yards per attempt with 21 touchdowns to 13 interceptions.

RB David Montgomery rushed for 716 yards at 4.5 yards per attempt last season in Detroit.

WR Nico Collins often has big days against the Colts. Overall, last season, he caught 74 passes for 1,138 yards with six touchdowns.

TE Dalton Schultz was another big target in the Texans' passing game, totaling 87 receptions on the season for 836 yards with three scores.

DE Will Anderson and Danielle Hunter: The most disruptive defensive end duo in football, the two combined for a whopping 194 quarterback pressures.

CB Derek Stingley Jr. allowed a completion rate of just 53% with nine pass breakups and four interceptions. Kamari Lassiter and Jalen Pitre each had four interceptions as well, while Calen Bullock had five.
