Boxer Gervonta "Tank" Davis faces an arrest warrant for violating his probation in Baltimore, stemming from a 2020 car crash after which he fled the scene, court records show.

Davis has remained on probation more than three years after pleading guilty to four traffic offenses, in part because he violated probation in 2025 when he traveled to Baltimore from Florida without permission.

It’s unclear what led to the most recent violation of probation.

Davis, 31, also is facing charges of kidnapping/attempt, battery and false imprisonment for allegedly attacking a former girlfriend at a strip club in Miami Gardens on Oct. 27.

The woman, who worked as a VIP cocktail hostess at Tootsie's Cabaret, filed a civil lawsuit accusing Davis of aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping and intentional infliction of emotional distress

Security video at Tootsie’s Cabaret captured the incident, according to a manager at the club and an incident report the manager completed. USA TODAY Sports reviewed portions of the video provided by the woman’s attorney.

Amid Davis’ legal issues, the World Boxing Association has ordered him to fight  Floyd Schofield for the WBA lightweight belt he won and has held since 2023. Davis hasn’t fought since facing Lamont Roach Jr. in March 2025 in a bout that ended in a controversial majority draw.

Davis was scheduled to fight Jake Paul on Nov. 14, 2025. But the exhibition was canceled days after Davis’ ex-girlfriend filed the lawsuit.

Although the status of the criminal case is unclear, an active arrest warrant in Maryland could further cloud Davis’ boxing career.

He is 30-0-1 with 28 knockouts and had been one of boxing’s most marketable fighters before his ongoing layoff that’s extended to 15 months.
