Kimberly 7, Slinger 0

FRANKLIN - The Papermakers scored two runs in the third inning, one in the fourth and four in the sixth in the nonconference victory over the Owls.

Brady Merzlicker had two hits, including a double, and drove in two runs for Kimberly. Shaefer Peterson added two hits and an RBI. Beckett Hermus also had two hits, including a double, and an RBI. Will Girard added a double and Pierson Hacker had a triple.

Peterson, Hacker and Hermus combined to pitch a two-hitter. Peterson pitched three hitless innings and struck out one, Hacker allowed one hit and struck out one in two innings, and Hermus allowed one hit and struck out two in two innings.

Kimberly finishes the regular season with a 21-2 record. The second-seeded Papermakers will host either Pulaski or Ashwaubenon on June 4 in a Division 1 regional final.

Appleton North 9, Menomonee Falls 4

MENOMONEE FALLS - The Lightning scored eight runs in the fourth inning in the nonconference win over the Phoenix.

Colin Reddy and Brennan Otto each had two hits for Appleton North. Jackson Skorr had a double and two RBIs. Reddy and Nathan Ramus also drove in two runs.

Thomas Carew pitched three innings to get the win. He allowed five hits, two runs and struck out one. Aedan Waterstreet pitched two innings, allowed one run and struck out three. Owen Reuland pitched two innings, allowed one run and struck out four.

Appleton North finishes the regular season with a 13-11 record. The eighth-seeded Lightning will host ninth-seeded Green Bay Preble on June 2 in a Division 1 regional semifinal game.

Neenah 9, Whitefish Bay 3

NEENAH - The Rockets scored five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to take a 7-2 lead in the nonconference win over the Blue Dukes.

Neenah finished with 16 hits.

Matthew Schoenfeldt, Charlie McIntyre and Charlie Hoven each had two hits for Whitefish Bay.

Neenah finishes the regular season with a 17-9 record. The third-seeded Rockets will host No. 14 seed Appleton East on June 2 in a regional semifinal.
