AJ Brown offers bold goodbye message to Eagles' teammates

· Yahoo Sports

A.J. Brown may no longer be in the Philadelphia locker room, but his message to his former teammates remains.

Brown was shipped to the Patriots this offseason after his relationship with the franchise deteriorated, but he spent four of his seven seasons in the NFL with the Eagles. And while he didn't seem to want to remain in Philadelphia by the end of his tenure, that doesn't mean he didn't develop relationships that he cherished. And now that he has officially departed the team, he made sure to leave a parting gift for his former teammates in his own unique way.

Reporting from NFL Network's Mike Garafolo indicates that Brown made a final stop by the team facilities to say goodbye to his former teammates and staff, and before leaving, he signed his picture on the wall with an interesting message: "The best to ever play here. Always open."

While some might not appreciate the cockiness displayed by the message, there is no doubt that Brown is one of the top players to suit up for the Eagles at the wide receiver position, at least in recent memory. He finished with 5,034 receiving yards and 32 touchdowns during his four seasons with the franchise, and was named a three-time All-Pro during the tenure. He also helped the Eagles capture the Super Bowl LIX Championship.
