The 2025-26 year of Kentucky Wildcats sports had its ups and downs, but there were plenty of reasons to celebrate along the way. There were also individual moments that stood out among the rest, moments that brought Big Blue Nation to its collective feet with pride. We're counting down the 15 biggest moments from this past year of Cats sports, taking a look at those points in time that will stand as highlights that fans will remember for a long time.

Coming in at No. 15 is a highlight from the football field. Mark Stoops' last season didn't end well, but there were some fun moments. Week one provided us with this one.

Kentucky opened up the 2025 season with Toledo, and were favored to get the win. The Rockets did not go quietly though. The Cats jumped out to a 17-2 lead, but Toledo answered and cut the lead to just one score, setting up Dowdell.

On the first play from scrimmage on the next drive, Dowdell took the handoff, cut through the right side of the line, and found a lot of open field. He turned on the jets and 79 yards later, he put Kentucky ahead for good. Kentucky would win it 24-16, and that play had sealed it. It would be the longest play of the year for the Wildcats.
