What Residents Need to Know
The city has issued a clear safety warning: even if power returns earlier than expected, all electrical installations must be treated as live for the full 15-hour duration of the planned work.
Residents are strongly advised to switch off appliances before the power outage begins to prevent damage from power surges when electricity is restored.
“The City apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks residents for their cooperation,” the City said in a statement, acknowledging the disruption the overnight shutdown will cause to households across the affected communities.
