It's been a bit of a struggling season for the Los Angeles Angels. While they have gotten some solid production from a few guys, they haven't been able to get much of anything going.

They are hitting .236 as a team, which ranks them 24th in MLB, and 19th in slugging percentage. On the pitching side, they are doing no better as they hold a team ERA of 4.62, which ranks them 24th.

However, this team has started to get something going over the last few weeks. Aside from their series with the Los Angeles Dodgers two weeks ago, they have been stacking up wins.

The Angels are coming off a rather impressive week where they took care of business at home. They took the series from the Houston Astros 2-1 and then did the same thing against the Tampa Bay Rays, who have been at or near the top of the AL East standings all season long.

Is this a case of the club coming together and figuring something out, and finding some magic against one of MLB's best teams? Either way, Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter was impressed, bumping them up from No. 30 to No. 26 in his latest power rankings.

"The Angels have quietly gone 12-9 over their last seven series, logging four series wins during that stretch. With Jose Soriano, Reid Detmers and Walbert Urena emerging as a reliable trio, they have climbed to a respectable 21st in the majors with a 4.54 ERA from the starting rotation."

Now, the club will look to keep that momentum rolling into their next series. They face off against the Arizona Diamondbacks during the week before taking on the Athletics in two road series.

If they can come out with two more series victories after this week, there's no telling just how high they will be ranked next week.
