Potential supplemental draft prospect Brendan Sorsby to hold pro day

· Yahoo Sports

The Arizona Cardinals could potentially add another quarterback this offseason. Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Sorsby, who applied to enter the NFL supplemental draft, is having a pro day so teams can see him work out in person.

According to ESPN's Pete Thamel, that pro day is tentatively scheduled for July 10 at Carroll High School in Southlake, Texas.

Sorsby played two seasons for Indiana and the last two seasons for Cincinnati but transferred to Texas Tech this offseason. Since the transfer, he admitted to gambling tens of thousands of dollars on sports, including college football and even his own teams, dating back to his freshman year at Indiana. He went to rehab for treatment and then had his eligibility revoked by the NCAA. He went to court and was granted an injunction that would restore his eligibility throughout the trial process. However, he will withdraw his suit, making him ineligible again, and turns his attention to the NFL.

He was draft-eligible this year but opted to go to Texas Tech, playing one more year of college football.

If the Cardinals have interest, they can get a look at him next month. They likely will, whether or not they have big interest. It is always good to evaluate players in person when you can.
