Predicting Texas A&M's next 2027 commit after landing 5-star LB
· Yahoo Sports
Texas A&M's landed its sixth five-star prospect in the 2027 recruiting class after the No. 1-ranked linebacker in the cycle, Kaden Henderson, announced his commitment on the Pat McAfee Show, choosing the Aggies over Notre Dame, which came down to the final weeks, but given his strong relationship with coach Mike Elko and new linebackers coach Travis Williams, Henderson is more than content with his decison, and shut down his recruitment in the process.

With Henderson in the fold, Texas A&M has landed four commitments from Florida-based recruits ranked in the top-100 (Rivals), and the Aggies aren't slowing down, looking to land at least one more top prospect out of the Sunshine State, as five-star wide receiver Eric McFarland will announce his commitment on June 28, already receiving a prediction to land with the Aggies earlier this year.
Already landing four-star wide receiver Jayden Upshaw, who, after committing to Texas A&M, stated that Eric McFarland is the fellow wide receiver he wants to play with at the next level, which is no surprise given the five-star wideout's elite versatility as a "gadget" player, who, even at 5'8", can play all three wide receiver positions, and is one of the fastest athletes in the cycle.
Right now, after landing Kaden Henderson, I predict that Eric McFarland will be the Aggies' next commitment, followed by five-star cornerback Joshua Dobson, who is scheduled to announce his commitment on July 1. If the Aggies land McFarland, Elko and his staff should feel great about their future wide receiver rotation.
