Real Madrid yet to approach Chelsea for Enzo Fernández as Spaniards seek sales first

Real Madrid have not yet made any approach to sign Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea, though are considering the midfielder as an option.

The Spanish giants have been active in the transfer window so far, agreeing deals for Denzel Dumfries, Ibrahima Konate, Bernardo Silva, and Marc Cucurella.
A central midfielder is next on the wish-list for Real Madrid, who are aiming to bounce back from successive seasons without silerware.
Fernandez one of five options under consideration. The Argentina international is open to following former Chelsea teammate Cucurella to the Spanish capital this summer, and expressed interest in living in Spain in March.
"I’d like to live in Spain. I really like Madrid; it reminds me of Buenos Aires," Fernandez said in an interview on theAvirales YouTube channel.
"Players live where they want. I’d live in Madrid. I get by in English, but I’d be more comfortable in Spanish."
Chelsea suspended Fernandes for two games as a result of those comments, though speculation over his future has continued. The 25-year-old has informed Chelsea of his desire for an exit after the club failed to secureChampions League qualification.
However,Fabrizio Romano has reported that there remain hurdles in the path of a move to Madrid. The La Liga side are yet to decide on the exact profile of midfielder being sought, with interest also in Manchester City midfielder Rodri and West Ham youngster Mateus Fernandes.
Mourinho's side also require sales before funding a deal for Fernandez. Chelsea have placed a £120m price tag on the Argentina and Real Madrid need exits before proceeding.
Gonzalo Garcia, Eduardo Camavinga, Ferland Mendy, Raul Asencio, Dani Ceballos, and Alvaro Carreras are among those who could leave the club this summer.
