Colorado loses OL commit to an ACC program after just two weeks

Colorado football's 2027 recruiting class took an early hit Monday as offensive lineman Jaiden Lindsay flipped his commitment to North Carolina, less than three weeks after committing to the Buffaloes.

Lindsay, a 6-foot-4, 300-pound interior lineman from Good Counsel High School in Olney, Maryland, announced the decision on X following an official visit to Chapel Hill.

"After a great OV weekend at UNC and discussion with my family I have decided to flip my commitment to the University of North Carolina," he wrote.

The three-star prospect originally committed to Colorado on June 6 during an official visit to Boulder. Still, North Carolina quickly entered the picture with a late offer, and momentum shifted just as fast.

According to Rivals, Lindsay is No. 800 nationally and among the top 65 interior offensive linemen in the 2027 class.

For head coach Deion Sanders, the loss stings but doesn't completely derail his recruiting approach. Colorado has prioritized rebuilding its offensive line and still holds multiple offensive-line commitments in this cycle, including four-star tackle Li'Marcus Jones.

Still, this marks a reminder of how volatile early recruiting can be and how fragile commitments are. In a matter of weeks, Colorado gained and subsequently lost a key piece up front, with North Carolina capitalizing on a recent visit.
