Kyren Williams was selected out of Notre Dame in the fifth round of the NFL Draft several years ago, and now after the 2026 draft two more Notre Dame running backs find themselves in the NFC West. They both may be starting for their respective teams at some point this season, or at the very least, contributing meaningfully in their rookie seasons.

Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price were taken by the Arizona Cardinals and the Seattle Seahawks respectively. They were both first round picks, and they should have every chance to contribute for their NFL teams in 2026.

Another fun fact is that with Christian McCaffrey suiting up for the San Francisco 49ers, another former first-round pick, each NFC West team has a first round pick in their running back room EXCEPT the L.A. Rams.

Interesting, no?

Seahawks’ Jadarian Price hype might be blowing out of proportion (12thmanrising)

“The Seattle Seahawks have a long history of workhorse running backs leading the way for the offense. With Kenneth Walker III gone, they hope that Notre Dame rookie Jadarian Price can carry the torch and keep the tradition going.

Price has the makings of a superstar, and while his draft selection was somewhat polarizing at the time, he should have more than enough opportunities to silence the critics right out of the gate. Conversely, his arrival has also opened the door for some superlatives.”

Why Sean McVay dropped truth bomb on Rams rookies, then canceled minicamp (ramblinfan)

“Fans know the team is opening 2026 with a bang. Kicking off in Australia against the San Francisco 49ers is one heck of an opener. And the action never takes a pause, as Los Angeles is set to stack up more travel miles in the first six games than some teams will face over the entire season.

The Horns encounter playoff teams in four of their first five games. That gauntlet will push this team to its limits. Rather than tire out his players with long training camp sessions, McVay is abiding by the wisdom not to tax them too quickly.

Although Rams rookies may be behind the curve for now, they will have opportunities when training camp arrives to show up strong. They will have their audition windows. If they do not get instant reps in training camp, they will see work in the preseason.”

Rams to hold seven open practices during training camp (nbcsports)

“Rams rookies and veterans will report to training camp at Loyola Marymount University on Saturday, July 25. It’s the third straight year that the school has hosted the Rams’ camp.

Monday, July 27 will be the first of the team’s seven open practices. The other open sessions will take place on July 29, August 1-3 and August 5-6.”
