Colorado football offers 2030 local standout from Fairview High School
· Yahoo Sports
Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes extended a scholarship offer to Devyn West, a 6-foot-6, 300-pound lineman from Fairview High School in Boulder. West is only 14 years old and in the Class of 2030, making the offer one of the earliest recruiting moves Colorado has made in recent memory.
West plays both offensive tackle and defensive tackle, giving him the kind of size and versatility that usually draws attention from Power Four programs. He has already been evaluated as the No. 1 prospect in Colorado for his class by Prep Redzone.

The timing also matters, as Fairview sits just minutes from the Colorado campus, and West has been developing locally through Matt McChesney's Six Zero Academy, a training center known for producing linemen in the state.
Huge thanks @CUBuffsFootball & @DeionSanders for CFB Offer #1! I can’t thank @Coach_Gunnar@andregurode65@CoachBox6@GeorgeHelow@ghegamin enough for this opportunity. Thank you to everyone involved with the camp, all of your hard work, & the hard evaluation that led to my… pic.twitter.com/nDSGMYQVdc

For Colorado, the offer shows a clear interest in keeping top in-state talent close to home. For West, it is an early marker that the Buffs see long-term upside in a player who could become one of Colorado's most heavily watched young prospects over the next several years.
