Free government website helping millions of young South Africans find work

· The South African

A young South African searching for work can reach thousands of jobs and learnerships through a single national platform called SA Youth.

Visit tr-sport.bond for more information.

This is through the government-run website sayouth.Mobi without charging the user for access.

The platform forms part of the Presidential Youth Employment Intervention through a wider system known as the National Pathway Management Network.

That network connects work-seekers to employers across every province.

The government reports that by 2025, more than 4.78 million young people will have registered through it, with over 1.67 million securing employment opportunities along the way.

SA Youth registration is free and uses no data

The idea is to give a young South African job seeker an easy, free place to post a job profile.

The platform serves people aged 18 to 34. New applicants do need their valid South African IDs.

What’s more, it is open to those without matric certificates. This helps to ensure that all those currently struggling to find a job, regardless of education status, are assisted.

It also diverts from other investment-lead South African government initiatives to assist young people looking for work.

Jobs and learnerships matched by location

Once a profile is complete, the platform matches an applicant to opportunities near their home, drawing on the postal code and the skills recorded during sign-up, while the profile itself works as a digital CV that employers on the network can view when they recruit.

The roles range from entry-level positions in retail and administration to accredited learnerships. Many will pay during the qualification process.

The government has named 2026 a Year of Action for young people, and SA Youth sits at the centre of that effort as the place where a young South African can find work and build the skills that lead to it.
