Nikola Jokic turned heads at the FIBA World Cup qualifiers on Thursday. The three-time NBA MVP led the way for Serbia in their first round game against Switzerland. While he was praised for his strong performance, his change in appearance stole the spotlight.

Jokic finished the matchup with a near triple-double in the 97-73 win. He recorded 22 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists. The Denver Nuggets center did not commit a turnover and registered a game-high +20.

Nikola Jokic’s 2025-26 season performance

Jokic appeared in 65 regular-season games for Denver. He was his usual self, dropping triple-doubles regularly and dominating most matchups. The 31-year-old averaged 27.7 points, 12.9 rebounds, 1.4 steals and a career-high 10.7 assists.

The Nuggets secured the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference but lost 4-2 to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round. They are looking to bounce back next season and once again compete for the title with Jokic spearheading the charge.
