There have been more bad days than good days for the Tigers in 2026.
But Saturday was a pretty darn good day for them. The Tigers beat the Texas Rangers, 3-0, and manager AJ Hinch got to inform three Tigers that they will be going to the All-Star Game later this month in Philadelphia.

Outfielder Riley Greene, catcher Dillon Dingler and shortstop Kevin McGonigle will represent the Tigers at the All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 14, at Citizens Bank Park.
Greene is an All-Star for the third straight year, and Dingler and McGonigle are first-time All-Stars.

In the visitor's clubhouse at Globe Life Field in Arlington on Saturday, Hinch broke the news, with the Tigers sharing the video clip on social media:
"He's had one day off, been a staple in our lineup, Riley Greene.
"First Tiger catcher in 15 years to make the All-Star team and the sixth in the last 50, Dillon Dingler.
"I saved the youngster for last ... now he gets to go home to Philadelphia ... Kevin McGonigle.
The Tigers have multiple All-Stars for the third consecutive season, after having six in 2025 and two in 2024.
Greene, Dingler and McGonigle all are reserves, which were selected by a vote of the players as well as input from the Commissioner's Office. Pitchers are selected by players and the league office, too. Starters were selected by voting from the fans.
