Coco Gauff tops fellow Floridian, to reach first Wimbledon semifinal

Coco Gauff is continuing her historic run at Wimbledon and is now in the final four.

Gauff, 22, defeated fellow Palm Beach County resident and former doubles partner, 32-year-old Jessica Pegula, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3, on July 7 on Centre Court at the All-England Lawn & Tennis Club.

The victory extends Gauff's longest run at the game's most prestigious tournament. She has now reached at least the semifinals of all four Grand Slams; she won the U.S. Open in 2023 and the French Open in 2025.

Coco Gauff Wimbledon schedule

Gauff will face the winner of Tuesday's match No. 14 seed Naomi Osaka vs. No. 10 seed Karolina Muchova at a time yet to be determined. The women's semifinals will be Thursday, July 9. Gauff and Osaka have split their six previous matches, with Osaka winning most recently in the fourth round of last year's U.S. Open. Gauff is 6-1 in her career against Muchova, including during Gauff's run to win the U.S. Open in 2023.
