No. 12-ranked Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Bantamweight Raul Rosas Jr. was supposed to welcome former top UFC Featherweight contender Zabit Magomedsharipovback to competition in the main event of Absolute Championship of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (ACBJJ) 21 in Moscow, Russia.

Unfortunately, just days before the event, Zabit was forced to withdraw because of an injury and was replaced by his younger brother, Khasan Magomedsharipov.

So, Rosas still got a Magomedsharipov.

Just not the one everyone originally expected.

The match was contested as a one-round, 10-minute, submission-only grappling bout, and Rosas made the most of the opportunity. The UFC Bantamweight ended up submitting Khasan in under eight minutes with a rear-naked choke/face crank combination to win the inaugural ACBJJ All-Stars title.

Following the match, Zabit stepped onto the mat and faced off with Rosas, seemingly setting up a future grappling match between the two.

Rosas was last in action inside the Octagon at UFC 326, where he defeated Rob Font in a forgettable fight. He does not have his next UFC fight booked yet, but he has been staying busy on the grappling scene.

Before ACBJJ 21, Rosas competed to a draw with former UFC Flyweight championDeiveson Figueiredo at Hype Brazil.

Another highlight from ACBJJ 21 came from UFC Middleweight contender Brendan Allen, who defeated former PFL and Bellator champion Ramazan Kuramagomedov after dislocating Kuramagomedov’s shoulder.
