Jelena Ostapenko wins legacy-building Wimbledon mixed doubles title

Jelena Ostapenko is the 2026 Wimbledon mixed doubles champion with partner Marcelo Arevalo.

With the win, Ostapenko is the seventh WTA player to earn Grand Slam titles in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles in the past 60 years.

She joins the elite company of current and future International Tennis Hall of Famers Billie Jean King, Martina Navratilova, Martina Hingis, Serena Williams, Venus Williams, and Barbora Krejcikova in accomplishing this feat.

Ostapenko is now officially a triple threat

Ostapenko was a 2019 Wimbledon mixed doubles finalist with former Swedish player Robert Lindstedt but never won a mixed doubles title before the 2026 Wimbledon Championships.

Her earliest success was as the 2017 French Open women’s singles champion.

Ostapenko added to her Grand Slam trophy case with a 2024 US Open women’s doubles title with partner Lyudmyla Kichenok.

Not only has Ostapenko won in all disciplines, she has also won on all surfaces beginning with the Paris clay, continuing with the New York hardcourts, and now the London grass.

We know the US Open is doing its reimagined mixed doubles format again in 2026 after a successful debut last year.
