Mainline Pharmacy wraps up sweep of The O in JCBL semis

Mainline Pharmacy used a balanced attack both on the mound and at the plate to secure a three-game sweep over The O in the semifinal round of the Johnstown Collegiate Baseball League playoffs with a 9-2 victory Sunday afternoon at Sargent’s Stadium at the Point.
The regular season champions of the JCBL clubbed out 13 hits, and five different pitchers struck out a combined nine batters from The O to finish off the sweep.

Including the regular season, Mainline Pharmacy won all 10 meetings against The O in 2026.
After a narrow 3-2 victory in Game 1, Mainline Pharmacy won convincingly 8-0 in the second game before completing the sweep Sunday.
“Execution that carried from (Saturday) into today,” Mainline Pharmacy manager Chance Osborne said on what he liked from his team’s approach in the clinching victory. “I don’t know how many strikeouts we had, but everybody in that dugout got an opportunity at the plate and made the best of it.”
Mainline Pharmacy jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Landon Hamer rocketed a triple to get things going, then Trey Wingard, Bryce Roberts and Andrew Miko all had run-producing singles in the frame to build an early advantage.
That cushion was more than enough for starting pitcher Colin Dinyar. The Mainline Pharmacy hurler worked four shutout innings to open the game with five strikeouts and coughed up just one hit.
“He’s a gamer, like everyone on this team,” Osborne said. “In the beginning, we gave him a break pitching because he threw a lot in high school and eased him into it, and now getting him extended out for this team and looked to get him some quality innings out of him and the rest of our staff in the playoffs.”
The Mainline Pharmacy bullpen put up shutout frames in the final four innings.
The O plated two runs in the fifth, but struggled to generate much else throughout the contest. Alex VanSickle collected two of the six hits for The O Sunday.
“All of our pitchers are ready to go 100% and I just have complete confidence in all of our guys,” Dinyar said of his team’s outing on the mound on Sunday.
Mainline Pharmacy will now get some down time to prepare for the championship series, which is scheduled to begin Wednesday. The defending league champions have officially clinched a berth in the AAABA Tournament in August and will now be playing for the right to serve as the host team that plays the night game at Sargent’s Stadium.
“The most important thing is, we have two days off regardless of the outcome of (that) series,” said Osborne. “We cannot get complacent and just go one game at a time. Regardless of us winning the (regular season) league, that does not put us where we’re we want, and we still have a lot of work to do and we’ve got to find a way to win three games to get us to the night game.”
