LeBron James' response to Tyrese Haliburton about joining Pacers was worse than he remembered
· Yahoo Sports
Pat McAfee asked Pacers all-star Tyrese Haliburton if he thinks LeBron James will be his teammate next season during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Monday. Haliburton reiterated the story he told during the live recording of the Mind The Game podcast on Thursday at Fanatics Fest.
He said that he texted James before James announced that he would be leaving the Lakers and said he should join the Pacers. Haliburton said then James texted back two laugh-crying emojis. On Monday he said there were more than that.

"He responded with six laughing-crying faces," Haliburton said. "I thought it was two. I said during the interview that it was two. I went back and looked at the text, it was six."
He of course acknowledges that doesn't bode well for the Pacers having a shot.
"It's not looking good," Haliburton said.
Haliburton said he was proud of his interview and the fact that he got James to openly discuss his decision. McAfee asked Haliburton if there was any team that wouldn't fit James. Haliburton said he doesn't think any team would turn him down.
"I think if he said he wanted to go to any of the 30 NBA teams, they would say, 'Please,'" Haliburton said.
