LeBron James facing Stephen Curry accusation from Stephen A. Smith
· Yahoo Sports
LeBron James is entering his 24th season and the NBA world is awaiting his announcement on which team he’ll play for. He has won almost all awards the league has to offer, including four championships. However, Stephen A. Smith speculated that he’ll play 25 campaigns to surpass Stephen Curry.

The veteran sports analyst added that James is also looking to match Tim Duncan and Kobe Bryant’s five rings. Another title will close the gap to Michael Jordan’s six.

“With LeBron, we’re talking legacy,” Smith said. “We’re talking the opportunity for him to catch Kobe and Tim Duncan, to surpass Steph Curry. To pull within one of capturing Jordan if he decides, which I believe he is aiming to do, meaning play in 25 years.”
The Golden State Warriors are reportedly part of James’ shortlist of teams he is considering to sign with. If he joins Curry and Co. and win another championship, they will be tied with five each in their legendary careers. Signing with a different franchise and securing one more ring will give him one more than the superstar guard.

James doesn’t appear to be rushing his decision. While a flurry of trades and acquisitions happened early this month, the 22-time All-Star remains a free agent.
Some teams have emerged as the favorites to land him, but only James and his inner circle likely knows where he’s headed. His announcement could also affect other players and franchises’ decisions on how to fill their open roster spots. The 41-year-old continues to grab headlines and will dominate them once he names his next team.
