IRCTC operates third Mukhyamantri Tirth Darshan special train to Bodh Gaya

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), in collaboration with the Maharashtra government, has flagged off a special Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train to Bodh Gaya under the Mukhyamantri Tirth Darshan Yojana from Dadar Railway Terminus.
The special train is the third such service operated under the state government's pilgrimage scheme following similar trains from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Nagpur.

Maharashtra Minister for Social Justice Sanjay Shirsat flagged off the train in the presence of MLA Kalidas Kolambkar, MLA Tukaram Kate, MLC Manisha Kayande, senior state government officials, railway officials and a large number of pilgrims.
Senior IRCTC officials, including Group General Manager (West Zone) Gaurav Jha, Additional General Manager Harshvardhan Singh Rawat and Public Relations Officer Dr A.K. Singh, were also present. Central Railway was represented by Additional Divisional Railway Manager Tarun Kumar and other senior officials.
Addressing the gathering, Shirsat said the pilgrimage would enable devotees to visit major religious and historical sites associated with Lord Buddha while promoting the state's objective of connecting citizens with India's rich spiritual and cultural heritage.
The specially decorated Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train comprises 10 coaches and is carrying around 800 pilgrims. IRCTC has deployed tour managers and made arrangements for catering, accommodation, local transport and other services to ensure a comfortable journey.
The train departed from Mumbai on July 20 and is scheduled to return on July 26.
