Real Madrid are open to let their teenage sensation leave this summer, but only on a loan that will come with no option to buy him for good for any club.
The Argentine had quite the baptism of fire at the Bernabéu last season, managing three goals and an assist in 35 appearances as Los Blancos endured a disappointing campaign by their lofty standards. Under José Mourino, Real Madrid will look to rectify that clinch silverware this season, and his track record suggests up-and-coming players will find game time hard to come by.
Fiorentina could be a landing spot for Mastantuono in Serie A, while Milan have also been mooted to have an interest.
Tried and tested
Even though they have been shrewd in acquiring promising young players early on in their career, both Real Madrid and the players understand that not everyone can get regular minutes, and opportunities come at a premium. So it’s only sensible that the club look to loan out their players.
The strategy has worked. Endrick, struggling for game time at the Bernabéu despite his heroics in Brazil, managed to replicate some of said heroics in Lyon last season and may very well be loaned out again. Nico Paz, another promising player who couldn’t nail down a spot, has just fetched the club a windfall with a definiive move to Como.
For a club like Fiorentina, who can not afford to negotiate for a buy option, certainly not one they could pull off anytime soon, this is a golden opportunity to get a promising talent, especially for a season during which they will look to wash away the sub-mediocrity of last season and push a least for a European spot.
